ICE CityZen provides students aged 16-18 with an opportunity to acquire lifelong skills essential for their careers.

ICE CityZen provides students aged 16-18 with an opportunity to acquire lifelong skills essential for their careers.

The award-winning* CityZen computer game enables students to collaborate as a team and develop problem solving skills by applying STEM skills to real civil engineering scenarios.

Students grow communication and critical thinking abilities through the optional task of pitching an improvement project for their local community.

There are now two ICE CityZen competitions featuring our unique skills-building computer games.

They take place across the autumn and spring terms.

They’re both great for developing your students skills and confidence and are free to enter – with great prizes to boot!

Why take part?

  • It is easy to complete, requiring four 45-60 minute sessions by 21 March 2025
  • Pupils develop essential career skills
  • The Project Pitch phase develops creative thinking and presentation skills
  • ICE offers support and civil engineer mentors to many competing schools
  • Certificates and amazing prizes, including a top award of £2,000** and VIP trip including a three-course meal with the ICE President at ICE’s Westminster headquarters!
