JCP Support for Schools (JCP S4S) is directed particularly at those young people schools identify as being at risk of becoming NEET or who may otherwise be disadvantaged in the labour market. Their aim is to help students understand what awaits them when they leave school, show them some of the amazing opportunities now available and encourage them as they make decisions about their futures.

Traineeships & Apprenticeships
JCP S4S can provide information and advice on routes into Traineeships and Apprenticeships, promoting the parity of academic and vocational pathways into work. This can be given to students, parents and teachers.

Career management skills
Developing career management skills is fundamental when embarking on the world of work.
JCP S4S can deliver sessions covering the following topics:

• CV writing
• Application writing
• Job search techniques
• Social Media
• Understanding the Labour market

Employability Skills
Employers are continuously telling us that many of the young people that apply for jobs lack many of the ‘soft skills’ required to be a good employee. JCP S4S will help young people develop some of those skills focusing on:

• Communication skills
• Interview techniques
• Team work

Parents Evening
JCP S4S can attend parent’s evenings to provide information on Apprenticeships & Traineeships.

Results Day
JCP S4S can attend GCSE and A level results days to provide information on Apprenticeships & Traineeships.

Careers Day
JCP S4S can attend career days in the capacity of an employer.
They can also source employers for careers events and organise inspirational presentations
