Careers Hubs drive progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks by enabling schools and colleges and their Careers Leaders to access training and support, and to collaborate in a focussed way, bringing together best practice and local labour market insight.
Hubs offer schools and colleges dedicated support from the local hub team and facilitate partnerships with key employers committed to improving careers across an area.
The Careers Hub in Berkshire will:
- Put labour market intelligence and employer engagement at the heart of careers information.
- In partnership with our local businesses and employers, inspire young people to become the talented future workforce local employers need.
- Enhance and develop careers education in Berkshire to make it meaningful and inspirational for all our young people.
Our team
About Berkshire LEP
The impacts of Covid-19 are bringing unprecedented challenges to Thames Valley Berkshire. We do not yet know how labour demand and supply will be impacted by the crisis. And while we have enjoyed a strong economy, our ability to contain the economic fallout of Covid-19 is not yet clear. Berkshire LEP has strengths that make us resilient and should allow us to adapt to the post-Covid-19 landscape. We must also be mindful, however, that there are many challenges ahead. We remain committed to supporting our businesses and residents. We are building resilience in the area by offering support, advice and awareness, and responding with the tools that required to create a more certain future for everyone.
